Cracow has not seen such an exhibition for a quarter of a century. Cracow ceramics made in the last 60 years can be seen in the Main Building of the National Museum (al. 3 Maja 1) until August 24. As the organisers of the exhibition say, ceramic is associated with objects that accompany us in everyday life. But because of its plastic qualities the material is often chosen by artists to make sculptures, mosaics and unique earthenware, which must then be fired in a special furnace. Examples of such work, by over 40 artists connected with Cracow, can be seen at the exhibition. Among the exhibits are abstract and figurative compositions, works inspired by Polish and exotic folk art, and also works of religious art.

Takiej wystawy nie było w Krakowie od ćwierć wieku. W Gmachu Głównym Muzeum Narodowego (al. 3 Maja 1) do 24 sierpnia oglądać można krakowską ceramikę tworzoną przez ostatnie 60 lat. Jak zwracają uwagę organizatorzy wystawy, ceramikę kojarzymy zwykle z przedmiotami towarzyszącymi nam w codziennym życiu. Ale tworzywo to, ze względu na jego walory plastyczne, wybierane jest także przez artystów, którzy z wypalanej później glinki tworzą rzeźby, mozaiki, unikatowe naczynia. Tego rodzaju prace ponad czterdziestu autorów związanych z Krakowem obejrzeć można na wspomnianej wystawie. Są wśród nich kompozycje abstrakcyjne i figuratywne, dzieła inspirowane sztuką ludową, polską i egzotyczną, a także należące do sztuki sakralnej.

Eine solche Ausstellung gab es in Krakau seit einem Vierteljahrhundert nicht. Im Hauptgebäude des Nationalmuseums (al. 3 Maja 1) kann man bis zum 24. August Krakauer Keramik bewundern, die in den letzten 60 Jahren entstand. Die Veranstalter der Ausstellung machen darauf aufmerksam, dass wir die Keramik mit Gegenständen assoziieren, die uns im täglichen Leben begleiten. Das Material wird jedoch wegen seiner plastischen Eigenschaften auch von Künstlern gewählt, die aus Töpferton, der später gebrannt wird, Skulpturen, Mosaiken und einmalige Gefäße schaffen. Arbeiten dieser Art von über vierzig mit Krakau verbundenen Autoren kann man in der erwähnten Ausstellung bewundern. Unter den Ausstellungsstücken gibt es abstrakte und figurative Kompositionen, Werke, die durch die Volkskunst, polnische und exotische, inspiriert wurden, sowie Gegenstände der sakralen Kunst.
